Lovina is like Bali before tourism boomed. People very friendly and shop owners arent too pushy to buy things. Great choice of places to eat out and bars to drink. A lot of accommodation options from very budget to very pricey. Easy to find transport or food delivery, even though they have discouraged Gojek and Grab in Lovina. Easy to find peace and quiet and uncrowded beach, unllike the southern part of Bali. The beaches are dark sand which is fine except that it is very hot to sit on the beach! The water is calm and of course, perfect temperature.

Very quiet place - so many warungs but very few people. Locals say there tourists are typically older retiring people. 3 nights was fine but would stay maybe 2 next time. If you go to lovina motorbike and waterfalls are a must however some locals are trying to scam tourists by charging to use road near sekumpal waterfall. Git git- aling alibg and banumala- all great- no scams reasonable price to visit - 20000 ( $2)

Lovina Beach is the more populous area. Good for a first timer. Plenty of Bar and Warung options as well as some lovely sunset bars along the waterfront. The main road has a bit of traffic so perhaps staying a little distance away would help. The beach path between the dolphin statue and the Lovina Hotel is well built and well lit at night.

The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfy with good aircon. The food they serve is also really tasty and reasonably priced. We booked a dolphin tour with them and had the best time. Although Lovina is very quiet we didn’t mind staying in the hotel and sitting by the pool as it was so lovely. They also arranged a taxi for us back to Canggu at a very good price. The beach in front of the Hotel is beautiful and much more private than Lovina beach/other beaches nearby. Breakfast was delicious, we even got homemade bread. Staff was great and the lady who owns the place was very nice and warmly welcomed us. Also, she allowed us to spend some more time by the pool even after official checkout time! Don't look any further, this is the place to stay at. Two thumbs up!

Has a little fridge (could do with a little bit of maintenance, seals coming away, and leaking water on the floor). Air-conditioning and ceiling fans in both rooms just no Air-conditioning in lounge, dining, kitchen area just a stand alone fan. Massage and laundry service are available on request. Will 100% book again when we come back to Lovina Bali in the future.

We received a complimentary massage on arrival which was a complete surprise and most welcome. The food here is superb - familiar flavours from our trip around Bali but prepared and served with refinement and innovative twists. The staff were remarkably friendly and professional - not a balance that is easy to pull off. Management were approachable, friendly and easily available.
